This Week in Financial Literacy…

Roundtable member companies are offering and sponsoring a wide array of financial literacy courses and programs throughout the month of April. Here are some interesting upcoming events:

April 26, 2011: Save.Protect.Grow. Media event from 12:00-2:00 pm ET at The Financial Services Roundtable offices. The event will raise public awareness of the keystones of financial security.

April 27, 2011: Advancing Personal Finance Education- (Grand Rapids, MI) The Michigan Jump$tart Coalition hosts this conference to give financial educators information and resources for teaching personal finance to all grade levels and to reinforce the benefits of partnering with local financial institutions to promote savings and financial education programs.

April 30, 2011: BB&T Youth Financial Education Fair – Bethel AME Church Greensboro, NC- The BB&T Bank Bus will host sessions for youth attending the Bethel AME Church Youth Financial Education Fair. The young adults will be taught the importance of understanding a credit report and how to build a healthy credit history using computer and web based financial education resources available on the bus computers.
